Some are calling the Bergdahl swap, “Obama’s gambit to distract America from the VA scandal”– which if true – is blowing up in his face. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way – The Regime clearly wanted to portray Bergdahl as a long-suffering hero who had served his country well, and through their outstanding efforts, was coming home to be reunited with his family.
The reason this is turning into one of the most devastating scandals of Obama’s scandal-plagued presidency has less to do with the fact that it was a horrible deal which the administration neglected to run by Congress – than the usual incompetent, deceitful mismanagement of the roll-out. The fact is, there are people on the right who could have supported this deal, if it had been managed properly. Charles Krauthammer, for one.
